Durango Male Wolf Leaves Den Area ** Flight Locations 7/16/2007 **
Unlike last week the Wolf Program managers decided to publish a flight report this week. We appreciate the wolf managers return to keeping the people of Arizona and New Mexico informed as to wolf locations as public safety is a top priority.
Interesting that the Durango Pack male is now hanging out on BLM land no where near his den and where the alleged puppies need fed. Maybe his dispersal from the den area is why there was no flight report for last week. The flight report documents the Durango Male being south of Pelona Mountain which is over 10 miles north west of his possible den location near Bear Springs.
This Durango male was not only paired with a dangerous female but he was along for the ride when howling near homes and trotting through backyards harassing families with children.

Please note that wolves are currently in their denning and rendezvous season. Standard Operating Procedure 26.0: Location Dissemination Guidelines directs that during denning and rendezvous season (April 15 - July 30), the Interagency Field Team also discusses wolf locations with specific permittees and landowners, as necessary, in addition to providing more general locations through weekly postings at http://azgfd.gov/wolf.â€

Was the Durang male credited with any of the stikes for helping the Durango female kill the cattle per SOP 13 rules?
I really think they should consider provisions of the wolves hanging out around people as more of an issue than even cattle although all kills livestock or pets should be considered.
