Alaska Fish and Game officials say calf survival in the southern Alaska Peninsula caribou herd has increased. Fish and Game says the calf survival increased dramatically following wolf control conducted in the area in the spring. Division of Wildlife Conservation personnel shot 14 wolves on the herd’s calving grounds. [...]
